This news could surprise frequent travelers planning to visit Canada, but to their surprise, now it is magical realism. The Canada Government has come up with an initiative to exempt the Asians from any visa requirement for travel purpose up to 90 days.
According to the 2016 tourist arrivals report, Canada Tourism’s revenue is made out of 80 percent of Asian travelers’ inflow into Canada. Further with just 2 percent of immigration risk. This input could have compelled the Canada Government to entertain more number of travelers from Asian countries.
In an exclusive interview to a news channel, Mr. Bardish Chagger, the Minister of Small Business and Tourism of Canada said, “We expect the immigration risk to reduce and also have revenue contributed increase in the coming year. Allowing them free on visa would make it more attractive; hence increase in arrivals and receipts.”
As of now, there is no official release in Canada’s official website Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. But, the channel reported that the visa-free travel would be effective from December 1st, 2016 to the Asian nationals.
